Graduate Collection
Laura's graduate collection was based upon textures and layers within nature. This was portrayed through print designs that are heavily based upon colour blocking and layering multiple imagery. The primary market for this collection was sportswear, specifically swimwear and lingerie, focusing upon the small details within design such as straps, clasps and elastics.
The aim of this collection was to show how sportswear is now a transitional piece that works both as activewear and as a high fashion garment, aiming to create prints that would transfer from work out wear through to day-to-day activities.
Fabric sourcing was a key feature of this project with a wide range of industry standard fabrics being used, ranging from neoprene to powernet to jersey.
